Where beginning authors trying to understand the world of writing, publishing, and promoting can learn and share.
WELCOME
The New Author is for those of us who are or trying to become authors; a place to share thoughts, tips, and ideas. There is an overwhelming amount of information about the world of writing on the internet - we just want simple ways to find good, accurate information and hopefully realize our goal of having our work published.

MY KINDLE IS HERE
I ordered a Kindle last week and it arrived today. With that said, this will be the shortest article in the history of The New Author. I'm off to play and learn the in's and out's of the Kindle. You know I will have more for you in the near future. In the meantime, leave me some comments about your experience with the Kindle and if you don't have one - are you thinking about getting one?

I got a nook for Christmas. I love it! Hope you have lots of fun with your new Kindle. Don't forget to download my novel "Lovestruck Succubus" by Ellison James so you can have something to read on it right away.
Okay, I'm sure you've already got the thing filled up.
I'm loving my new Kindle. It was delivered a week ago. Have fun!
My husband and kids bought me a Nook for Mother's Day last year. Finally, a good gift! I absolutely LOVE it! Enjoy your new Kindle.
Hugs,
Lee
JL - I've added it to my 'get' list. I am really enjoying what the Kindle has to offer.
Savannah - The Kindle is a cool piece of technology don't you think. I'm really happy with mine so far.
Lee - I was looking at the Nook and almost got one but a few factors drove me to get the Kindle. In the end it doesn't matter which one you have - just have fun and enjoy it.
Oh super jealous! I've resisted buying one so far, as i like my bookcase brimming with books that yellow with age. I really do. But i think sometime this year i really will have to invest. It's just gotta be done. Enjoy. :)
Lou - I love books too but I gotta tell you....the Kindle is amazingly cool. Books will always have a place in my home but the ebook is very user friendly and efficient.
